FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sinespace virtual world hosts 300,000 strong US-based activist association Badass Teachers Association in The Delphi Talks region

Sunday 29th November at 16:30 (BST)

Guests, Marla Kilfoyle and Melissa Tomlinson, executives at BATs, will join a live audience for a talk which is titled BATs vs. Germs (Global Education Reform Movement).

The discussion will explore a BATs priority; the fight against personalized learning (computer software replacing face to face human learning) and stopping the DeVos (Betsy DeVos, United States Secretary of Education) administration from doing what BATs consider will be horrific damage to the US public school system.
They will discuss the technologies they use to engage their community and some of the lessons they have learnt from campaigns, including using Facebook public groups vs. closed groups vs secret groups, and the admin that supports these including the guidelines BATs have developed and posted for safe work environments.
The talk will examine using different communication platforms after BATs learned lessons early on that not everyone is comfortable with all social media platforms.
