We have hit the streets. We have called out in a unified voice that we do not agree with immigrant detention policies and family separation. We have called and written legislators, sat in, stood up, camped out, and refused to move.
But until these harmful policies that traumatize innocent children end, we cannot let our efforts fall on deaf ears or echo away into the void that seems to be growing as we fight against the racist policies, the threads of white supremacy, the voice of the oligarchy.
Multi-faceted campaigns against these inhumane practices must continue until every family is reunited, until every person seeking asylum from harm is safe, until we once again become a nation that is safe for everyone.
We are swarming social media this week with tweets, posts, information, resources, and ways to fight back - from demanding that Microsoft divest in ICE to demanding that your own state public pension divest from firms that profit from family detention.
