This is for every teacher who refuses to be blamed for the failure of our society to erase poverty and inequality, and refuses to accept assessments, tests and evaluations imposed by those who have contempt for real teaching and learning.
Standing Up For Action is a working session for local and national activists, concerned parents, educators, students and all who have a general interest in equitable and quality public education. Working groups, speakers, and panelists will focus on these topics: media, organized labor, parent/citizen rights, human rights, student empowerment, and civil disobedience.
